I was recently invited to talk about winter seasonal trends at The Girls Night Out event, which was held at The Palms, in Christchurch.
After a rather bumpy flight which the locals kept referring to as “the Nor-wester”…..(An HOUR of extreme turbulence!) We finally arrived in Christchurch and headed off to The Palms for our first meeting.
After being briefed on the event, we had to pull five looks for the statuettes, which are also known as moving mannequins. The girls were so gorgeous, and looked fabulous in their looks.
Our five looks were: Monochrome, The Great Outdoors, Military, Sixties and Grey on Grey. These looks are obviously very on trend for winter. If you want to see alternative ways to style these looks, check out the #rekindlewinter hashtag on instagram and Facebook.
Here is the very beautiful Emily in action..
Throughout the day I was based in The Palms offering free colour consultations and body shape tips and tricks. I was so blessed to meet so many lovely woman during these sessions.
From 6pm Girls Night Out really kicked off, the mall turned pink for the event with retailers offering all sorts of deals and discounts! There was all sorts of stations dotted around the mall including make-up tutorials, eyebrow stations, and GHD hair curling. It was so much fun, and so great to see so many people getting involved. There was also a photo booth for the event, which Hilary and I had a bit of a ball in!
Then there was the goody bags! These pink bags of goodness were snapped up so fast..
Hilary and I had such an fun time at this event, there is nothing cooler than surprising random shoppers with spot prizes! We gave away some fabulous stuff including a Pandora Bracelet, Rodney Wayne Vouchers, Caci Clinic Skincare, Glassons vouchers, The Palms vouchers & Free Car Washes for any Husband or Dad we spotted in the mall!
The main prize of the evening was a $5,000 Girls Weekend in Sydney with a $1,500 gift card for the Macquarie Centre!
Our lovely winner was a local lady from Shirley, who was absolutely thrilled with her prize!
Girls Night Out was a great local event that I was so fortunate to be apart of. I met some wonderful people and it was so great to see the ladies of Christchurch having a wonderful night out with a few wines, shopping and genuinely enjoying themselves.
